Shervin Assari

Associate Professor of Family Medicine, Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science. Shervin Assari, MD MPH, is an associate professor of Family Medicine, Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science, Los Angeles, California. He joined CDU after being a faculty member at UCLA and University of Michigan. His research is focused on health disparities due to race, gender and class. With 17 years of post doctoral research experience, Assari has published 300+ peer-reviewed papers. He has served on the Board of Directors of the American College of Epidemiology (ACE) and American Academy of Health Behaviors (AAHB). He is an elected Fellow of the New York Academy of Medicine (NYAM) and Society of Behavioral Medicine (SBM). He is the past president of the Scientific for Public Health in Iran (SAPHIR).
