The Most Exciting Shows Coming To Streaming In 2023

The Last Of Us (HBO Max)

Created by Neil Druckmann and Craig Mazin, this might be the best adaptation of a video game we have seen yet. Based on the first game, a virus infects the population making nearly everyone a zombie-like creature, except one girl who is exposed and remains unaffected. When her blood becomes the possibility for a cure, she is taken on a journey West that will definitely not be an easy one.

Whether you played the game or not, this series is worth watching for everyone.

Poker Face (Peacock)

Created by Rian Johnson, who wrote and directed Star Wars: The Last Jedi, this series follows a woman named Charlie (Natasha Lyonne) who has an uncanny ability to tell when someone is lying. As a result of this, she drives around the continental U.S. becoming involved in investigating crimes and murders.

With a nostalgic feel to the detective shows of the 1970’s, this show is sure to deliver with an A+ list of guest appearances.

Star Wars: Ahsoka (Disney+)

This is another masterpiece created by Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni. In season two of The Mandalorian, Rosario Dawson first portrayed Ahsoka. While there is minimal information out there about this new Star Wars series, we know it is expected to realease in 2023, likely after The Mandalorian‘s third season. It is also rumored that Hayden Chistensen will be back as Anakin. Stay tuned and keep your eyes and ears open for more details on this upcoming Star Wars series.

Godzilla and The Titans (Apple TV+)

Created by Chris Black and Matt Fraction, this MonsterVerse series is a spinoff of the 2014 Godzilla film and stars Kurt Russel and son, Wyatt. Following the explosive battle between Godzilla and the Titans that destroyed San Francisco and the shocking new reality that monsters are real, one family tries to uncover secrets about these monsters and the secret organization Monarch.

This HBO series tells the story of how Nixon’s Watergate masterminds, E. Howard Hunt and G. Gordon Liddy toppled the same presidency they were so desperate to protect. The title comes from these two men plugging press leaks by any means necessary, in attempts to save the presidency. Justin Thoreaux and Woody Harrelson are superb in this historical drama executed beautifully by HBO.

You Season 4 (Netflix)

If you’ve missed seasons 1-3, go ahead and binge those first. Season 4 follows Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley) through Paris and London as he chases yet another victim, we mean girlfriend. With a history of killing and obsessing over one woman at a time, this series still doesn’t get tiresome. Part one airs in January and part two comes in March. Get ready to find out who Joe’s next victim is– or is he a changed man?

Succession Season 4 (HBO Max)

In three incredible seasons, Succession has gotten the attention of millions. While we patiently await an official release date for season four, we know it’s coming this Spring. Jesse Armstrong has captivated us with this family and their dysfunction and wealth for several years now, so what new alliances await? How will the family’s siblings get along this time around? Wait and see, but be sure to add the release date to your calendar when it’s announced.

Kaleidoscope (Netflix)

Imagine a series of 8 episodes that you can watch in any order and create 8 different shows? That’s what Eric Garcia did in this series. It’s a one-of-a-kind heist series and there are 40, 320 ways to watch it (really, we did the math). This show is the first of its kind and breaks the rules of conventional TV. However you watch it, we recommend you do!

Shrinking (Apple TV+)

From the brilliant and funny minds of Jason Segel and Ted Lasso’s Bill Lawrence & Brett Goldstein, Shrinking is a new comedy coming to Apple on January 27. Segal plays a shrink who wants to break the rules and start telling patients what he really thinks of them. Alongside Harrison Ford, Segel slowly beings to witness the changes his honesty has on both his and his patients lives.

Star Trek: Picard (Paramount+)

The wait is almost over. February 16, 2023 is the day we’ve all been waiting for. While we haven’t been given an abundance of information, the real excitement is over seeing Geordi, Worf, and Beverly are back! Where are they going on this next road trip? Tune in to find out!
