Blue Hawaiian Drink Recipe: Creating The Perfect Poolside Cocktail When The Weather Is Warm

Published: September 3, 2021

Summer Means Blue Hawaiian

Summer time is Pool time and that also means poolside cocktails. We spend our summers in our backyard enjoying the pool. That also means we spend it by our pool bar enjoying a few cocktails. Margarita’s, Pina Coloda’s, and any concoction we can think of.  Last weekend I opted to modify and test out a Blue Hawaiian.  Ever try the Blue Hawaiian Cocktail?

Pretty Blue Poolside Cocktails

First of all true confession I am fascinated with pretty, colourful drinks.  If you ever check my Instagram while I am on vacation, it is filled with pretty drink pictures. I actually order different cocktails strictly to get a picture, and then of course I drink it. Also before I forget, if you aren’t on my Insta, please go take a look and a follow. Doesn’t hurt to ask right?

OK enough on the ” self promotion” back to cocktails. I really do enjoy a fancy cocktail and the prettier the better. When I saw a Blue Hawaiian I just knew it was on my list to test. Got my trusty little Margaritaville blender out and when to work. End result, oh my tastiness. I love blue, well actually I love Malibu to be precise.

Malibu Rum Cocktails

Second true confession, Malibu Rum gets me. Honestly the coconut and pineapple just make me smile. Searching for fancy drinks I stumbled upon the Malibu Rum Canadian site and now I think I am set for summer. How about a Malibu series? Anyone interested in not just discovering fun drinks but hearing how to make them and how they really taste?

That would make a fun little series. A new drink in a new color each week. And maybe a few extra’s thrown in just for fun. I have a new Soda Stream so I am thinking my possibilities are unlimited at the moment. Now let’s get to why you are actually here, how did I make a Blue Hawaiian Cocktail?
