Summer isn’t over yet, but I am ready to say goodbye to this heat and welcome the changing leaves. And before you know it, the holidays will be here and we will be welcoming 2022. Doesn’t seem real, does it?

Well, before we get caught up in that, let’s get a head start on the best fall cocktail recipes you don’t want to miss this year. Some sweet, some spiced, and some pretty much just alcohol… you need this list for the changing season!

1. Apple Cider Mimosa

Champagne, apple cider and brandy… could this drink scream fall any louder?! The warmth of the brandy with the effervescence of the bubbles is warm, toasty and perfect for any time of day!

2. Pumpkin Pie Martini

There is usually a very divided love/hate about pumpkin every year when fall rolls around. We say, hey, if you hate it… keep scrolling. If you love it, this is the perfect drink for you. If you try this recipe, We recommend you fully commit to it and attempt the frozen whipped cream because YUM!

The best part about a sangria is that it is made in large batches! You can make a pitcher of this delicious sangria for a party, or make it Friday and sip it throughout the weekend. It’s a win, win and the longer the apples sit, the more booze they soak up and the better they taste!

If you’ve never heard of a Black Russian cocktail, you’ve been missing out. It is similar to a White Russian, but leaves out the dairy and you can tell enjoy the coffee taste of the Kahlua. It’s low labor and only requires two ingredients. What more could you ask for!?

5. Thanksgiving Margarita

You heard that right! Before you judge, give it a chance. Tequila, with the warm and orange caramel flavors of Grand Mariner? Throw in a little apple cider and pear, and you have an autumn party in your mouth. If you’re worried about it being too sweet, leave out the simple syrup and you’ll be all set for an awesome fall cocktail.

6. Apple Pie On The Rocks

Vanilla vodka and Fireball? Say no more! This cocktail has only 5 ingredients and so incredibly easy to drink. We would multiply the recipe and make a pitcher because you’re gonna want it!

7. Drunken Pumpkin Latte

RumChata and pumpkin pie vodka is what makes this drink perfect for fall. If you’re worried you will go out and buy those bottles, only to never use them again, you are wrong! This drink is so good and it has coffee in it, so it’s like the Starbucks fall beverage for adults who need a drink.

8. Fig, Honey & Thyme Prosecco Smash

If you like an herbaceous cocktail with perfumey aromatics, this is perfect for you! The elderflower liqueur is a the perfect topper for this fruit packed smash cocktail. The color and smell you taste and see before even trying is enough to make you prepare another one already!

9. New England Express

Somehow rum often gets ignored the fall cocktail lineup, but this apple cider and rum recipe is incredible. With some lime, sugar and thyme, it hits all the part of your taste buds for a perfect explosion of fall flavor profile. The recipe will give you 8 servings, which is probably not enough!

10. Space Invader

Adding beer to cocktails is highly underrated. It’s the perfect way to boost alcohol content and also add a light effervescence. With the aromatics of gin, the sweet bitter op Aperol and a little bit of IPA, this cocktail is anything but “too sweet.” If you prefer a more bitter cocktail, this is perfect for you.

11. Zombie

Don’t let the name fool you, this drink is light, bright and delicious. With a base of sweet & sour, rum and OJ, this is basically a punch. A delicious punch that will make you wonder why you didn’t try it sooner!

12. Apple Cider Moscow Mule

Have you ever had a Moscow Mule? The ginger beer, vodka and lime cocktail served in those cool copper mugs? Delicious! This is very similar, but you throw in a little apple cider instead of just ginger beer as a mixer. The ginger and apple couldn’t be more perfect as we shift into autumn vibes!

Similar to a red sangria, this warm cocktail has wine, brandy, fruit and a few added spices. The star anise, cinnamon and cloves make it the wine drinkers version of a hot toddy. You can make a pot on the stove and refresh your drink as often as needed!

14. Cranberry Mimosa

With just two ingredients, this mimosa is easier than ever to prepare. Just choose your sparkling wine or champagne of choice and then add your cranberry juice. The sparkling sugar rim and cranberry garnish make this drink just as pretty as it is delicious.

A hot toddy is a classic and also the perfect sipper if you have a cold. It warms you up from the inside. With bourbon, apple cider, honey and lemon, it’s perfect to whip up once you see the leaves changing outside.

Lord knows there are a zillion pumpkin beers that come out around this time each year. This combines that spicy pumpkin ale taste with a little bit of bourbon and the sweetness of apple cider. Did you just drool? Because we did.

With whiskey, mint and peach syrup, this drink is absolutely refreshing. Anything with mint gets my vote! It’s fruity and yet warm because of the bourbon. Men who love bourbon and women who barely drink bourbon can agree this drink is perfect.
