With summer on the way, a recent survey reveals Americans are ready to travel in 2022. According to American Express Travel, 86% of respondents expect to spend the same or more on travel in 2022 compared to a typical pre-pandemic year, 62% plan on taking two to four trips this year and 76% agree they’ll travel more with family than they did in 2021. From family cycling tours on Cape Cod to visiting the Yellowstone region, river cruising in Europe, exploring Ecuador and enjoying multiple sports on Maui, here are nine travel ideas for your bucket list year.

Top Bucket List Adventures For 2022

1. Family Cycling Adventure

Experience four days of family-friendly bike travel on Massachusetts’ scenic Cape Cod during Adventure Cycling Association’s new Cape Cod Family Adventure. At the core of the trip is nearly 100 miles of great biking between Provincetown at the tip of the outer cape and Brewster on the lower cape, including traffic-free paved trails such as the Cape Cod Rail Trail and the Head of the Meadow Trail. There’s even time off the bike to go hiking, swimming and stand-up paddleboarding.
